Five services that hold each other up

A website is never just a website. It needs a domain that renews, somewhere to live, a certificate that stays valid, and email on the same name that keeps arriving. Split those across four suppliers and every problem starts with an argument about whose it is.

We cover all five, so there is one number to call. None of them depends on taking the others. Plenty of clients only ever use one.

  • Design and development done in-house, not subcontracted
  • Built on our own content management system, which we also maintain
  • You deal with people who already know your setup, not a ticket queue
  • UK-based, supporting businesses nationwide
  • Working with small and medium-sized businesses since 2008

How the five fit together

Most people come to us for one thing. The site looks dated, a renewal was missed, email has started going to junk, or a spreadsheet has finally outgrown being a spreadsheet. That is a perfectly good place to start.

What tends to happen is that the others surface anyway. A new site needs a domain pointed at it and a certificate on it. Moving email to Microsoft 365 raises the question of whether anything is backing it up. An application with client data in it raises questions a brochure site never did.

Keeping it with one supplier makes those overlaps somebody's job rather than nobody's. When something breaks there is no argument about whose fault it is, because there is only us, and we already know how your systems are put together.

Who we work with

Small and medium-sized businesses, from a one-person studio to companies with staff across several sites. The sectors we work in most are:

  • Insurance and financial services
  • Building design and construction
  • Property development and estate agencies
  • Transportation and logistics
  • Charities and not-for-profits
  • Sole traders and small creative businesses

Some clients come to us for a single project. Others have been with us for over a decade.

No job is too small. Sole traders, charities, clubs and individuals are as welcome as companies with staff across several sites. If you want one page rather than twenty, or a single domain looked after rather than a whole project, that is still worth a phone call.

Not sure where you fit?

If your site is dated, slow or awkward to update, start with Website Design. If you are running the business out of spreadsheets and shared inboxes, start with Web Application Development. If you are not certain who holds your domain or when it renews, start with Domain Management. If email is unreliable or you are still on an old mail system, start with Email Hosting. If a client or insurer has begun asking security questions, start with Security.

If none of those quite describes it, call and describe the problem in your own words. Working out which service it belongs to is our job, not yours.

Before you get in touch

Do we have to take all five services?

No. Each one stands on its own and plenty of businesses only ever use one. They are grouped together because they overlap in practice, not because they are sold as a bundle.

Can we start with one service and add others later?

Yes, and that is usually how it goes. Starting with whatever is causing the most trouble right now means you get the benefit quickly, and we learn how your systems are set up before anything bigger is attempted.

Do you only work with businesses in Bicester?

No. We are based in Bicester, Oxfordshire, and we work with businesses across the UK. Design, development and support are delivered by telephone and remotely, so where you are does not limit what we can help with.

We already have a website. Can you take it over?

Sometimes. It depends what it was built on and what access comes with it. Tell us what you have and we will say honestly whether taking it on or rebuilding it is the better use of your money. Those answers do not always go the way you would expect.

What do you build websites and applications on?

Our own content management system, which we wrote and maintain ourselves and host client sites on, including this one. Websites are hand-written HTML, CSS and JavaScript rather than a bought theme or a page builder. We do not use WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or Shopify.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.

How do we get started?

Call 01869 866555 or email support@readytec.co.uk and describe what is going on. We will tell you what we think the problem is and what it would take to fix, you do not need to have diagnosed it first.

Not sure which service you need?

Tell us what is getting in the way and we will point you at the right fix. No jargon, and no obligation.
